So, what’s the point? Why do I have to grow my business? Why do I even have to read your book? Why do I have to be a follower of your Facebook page?” Sabi niyang ganu’n. “‘Hindi ko na din kailangang mag-seminar.”
By the way if you noticed, I’m resting here sa Ikea after a long day here in Bangkok dahil we attended a Propak exhibit the whole day today. Kasi, when you grow your business, what happens is you can take trips abroad, attend exhibits, have fun at the same time doing business. Fun with business di ba masaya? Talagang masaya when you grow your business.
Now, if you’ve read my book, Grow Your Business, Pinoy!, you will notice that I enumerated three reasons sa experience ko na 40 years as a business woman, 20 businesses failed. And of course, 5 successful businesses that I have grown to be now in the Professionalization Stage going to Rapid Growth Stage.
1. Kahit na malalaki na yung family members, your family is still growing.
Your children will have more grandchildren for you and even if hindi na sila manganganak, yung kanilang mga anak lumalaki rin. Kailangan, the business grows just as the family grows.
Kaya ang ating mga employees, kailangan natin silang i-train, i-grow dahil as their needs grow their income should also grow. Because their families are growing, we too have to grow our business.
So, if you do not want to grow as a business owner, what will happen is your competitors will continue to grow. Around you, you will have competitors left and right and before long makikita mo, oops! Patay ka na pala. Dahil biglang nag-grow ang mga competitors mo and they start to tap into your market until finally wala na. There’s nothing left for you so that your business will be sustainable.
Kumbaga, ang business ay parang halaman, it’s either you grow or you die. So, if you do not want to grow your business then that means your business will be dying. And therefore, prepare for your funeral. Sorry po napaka-blunt ano? Pero talagang ganyan ang buhay.
